The
SICC project for 2008 is a new septic system for the
hall. While not as decorative as our recent paint,
curtains and additions, this is an essential upgrade to meet
code, and our ever-growing uses
of the hall. Any additional contribution to this effort
is very welcomed and appreciated by all who use the SICC hall.
Contact Chuck Davis if you can help out, or add a small contribution
to your annual dues. Cost is estimated at $14,000.
Islanders:
Think about renting the community hall for a family or other
private function in 2008. SICC rents it for family holidays,
church events, meetings, office & group parties, birthdays,
weddings, receptions, dinners and other events. We have a
nice space to rent,
and we encourage your use of the hall for all your special
larger events.
The
Samish Island Community Club has various policies that
guide board decisions. If you have a question about community
club decisions, check the policies
page. Ideas and feedback are always welcome: contact the
current president.
