Samish Shore Lines Newsletter


The Shore Lines is the newsletter of the Samish Island Community, distributed to Island mailboxes or delivery tubes each month by volunteers, and by email if you are on the Samish Island Mailing List.

Items for the next Shore Lines must be submitted in writing by 5 p.m. on the first Thursday of the month to Kathleen Packard. Email: KWPACKARD@aol.com, or snail mail: 9920 Samish Island Road, Bow 98232.

Shore Lines Ads Policy: The Shore Lines prints ads submitted by Samish Island residents who contribute their annual Club membership dues. Ads for off-island services cannot be accepted. Service providers: please advise Shore Lines in January if you wish to renew an ad for the current year, on the "every other month" basis.

Shore Lines Newsletter History:

1977 -- Jacquie Stegner began the original island newsletter on behalf of the Community Club.
1981 -- Megan Nordlund took over as editor.
1984 -- The name was changed to "the Samish Island Shore Lines."
1985 -- Susanne Blau became editor.
1990 -- Megan Nordlund took it again.
October 1993 -- Kathleen Packard and Caroline Baldie shared the editorship.
July 1997 -- Kathleen Packard became editor.
