Two arts festivals are often held on the island. The Summer Arts Festival, is always held the last Saturday in July, at the Community Center. The Winter Arts Festival is held occasionally, but not yearly, occurs in mid-November.
2012 Summer Arts Festival July 28
The 16th Annual Samish Island Arts Festival will be held on July 28, 2012, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Samish Island Community Center.

The featured artist for 2012 is Photographer Kitty BluhmThis art festival image is available on posters, bookmarks and postcards for you to keep and use. This Summer Arts Festival features original art, glass art, fiber arts, woodwork, jewelry, pottery, cards, photography, and garden art. The show will also feature our favorite food vendor, Sigi's Breads and Cinnabuns. Sigis provides us coffee, lunch selections and breakfast breads and other pastries & breads to take home. There is live music, and free door prizes are always a part of the fun. The Arts Committee Chairperson for 2012 is Debbie Ensey. Contact her artsfestival@samishisland.net or phone 757-8771.
