Grassy beach

During the 1950's, Skagit County proposed an industrial park that would cover almost the entire Padilla Bay. The plan required the in-filling Padilla Bay between March Point on Fidalgo Island and Samish Island. The plan was never implemented.

The actual drawings are located in the Padilla Bay Breazeale Interpretive Center near Bayview. Because glass is over the image, quality is somewhat limited. You are encouraged to stop by the center to view the originals.
